Calibre 312, hand wound. There is no rotor, so you wind it: about thirty turns of the crown on a Monday morning gives you seventy-two hours. It runs at 4 Hz, 28,800 beats an hour, on 312 parts and 37 jewels. Every bridge edge is chamfered and black polished by hand, including the edges behind the dial that only a watchmaker will ever see.
The calibre was drawn in 1998 and revised eleven times. Every revision took out a part or replaced two with one. Nothing has ever been added, which is how a chronograph with this many functions still runs seventy-two hours on one barrel.
The case is 44 mm across and 12.9 mm thick, milled from a solid billet in eleven operations. Titanium is grade 5, brushed by hand. Rose gold and king gold are cast in our own foundry and hallmarked inside the caseback, with no plating anywhere on the watch. The bezel is forged carbon, and because the marbling is whatever happens when the press closes, no two bezels are the same.
Gold scratches. Titanium hides a knock, gold shows you where it has been. Every service includes a full case refinish at no charge, for life, which is our answer to that rather than a promise it will not happen.
Each watch is built to order. Reckon on about five months, or seven for king gold, and you get a date in the first week rather than a range. Photographs come from the bench at three stages, and one of us telephones the day the movement is cased.
Delivery is free worldwide, fully insured, and signed for by you or by nobody. Duties and taxes are inside the price, so nothing is asked for at the door. We ship Tuesday to Thursday so that no watch sits in a depot over a weekend.
Thirty days from the day it arrives. Full refund, no restocking fee, and we do not ask for a reason. Send it back in the delivery box with the insured label we email you.
If we cut the strap to your wrist we replace it before resale at our own cost, so a sized strap is never a reason you cannot return a watch. An exchange to another reference keeps your place in the register wherever the edition still has room.
Five years on the movement and the case, transferable, so the warranty follows the watch rather than the first owner. Water resistance is 100 metres and we re-test the seals at every service.
Service falls due about every six years. The price is fixed and printed on your certificate the day the watch ships, in the currency you paid, and it includes the case refinish. Work done elsewhere does not void anything, though we will want to read the paperwork before we sign the register again.
Every watch is numbered inside the caseback and recorded in the house register, which we publish. An owner, a dealer or an auction house can look up a serial and read the reference, the assembly date, the watchmaker who signed it and every service since.
One of our four watchmakers is assigned to your watch and stays with it for as long as you own it. You get their name and their direct line, printed on the certificate beside the serial. If a watch reaches us that is not in the register we will say so in writing, at no charge.
